Wishing you a beautiful Saturday! Some updates for the week:

• The Fall Festival will be Saturday, October 25th (a week from today) at the park. This is a GISD-sponsored event so visit their Facebook for details. Per our local tradition kids will trick-or-treat afterward. The Baptist Church will have a trunk-or-treat lot set up for those of you who want to enjoy the kiddos and give out candy but don't live in town. If you are new to our community and have not done this before you are in for a "treat" (pun intended!). Reminder to buy candy if you plan to give it out.
• TNMP (electric) will have a planned outage Wednesday night October 22 at 11pm to Thursday morning at 6am to improve reliability and provide repairs to a transmission line. We are grateful that TNMP stays on top of these things as it prevents disruptive unplanned outages.
• Our line replacement project along Elm St. and in the vicinity of the school is moving to completion with a focus on avoiding service interruptions. The seeping at the NW corner of the Methodist Church is an old cast iron line that will be deactivated.
