Please continue to conserve water

Thank you in advance for conserving water and suspending non-essential use.

Sharing additional updates following last night's alert:

• Last week, one of our two raw water pumps was sent for rebuild due to mechanical issues. 
• Last night, our remaining raw water pump failed. This pump moves water from the lake to the treatment plant.
• We are working with a contractor to install a replacement pump after reaching out across our network to other municipalities and service providers to explore all options.
• There are additional contingency plans in place in case the current installation runs into blockers.
• Until a pump is installed, we are unable to treat water. This means that only the water that is in the elevated storage tank is available. With conservation, we estimate this water can carry us up to two days.
• High-usage customers have been contacted directly and have committed to conserve.
