Congratulations to the Gordon Longhorns HS Baseball team headed to the state championship in Round Rock next weekend!

Recovery effort updates:

> City Council has a special meeting on Mon, June 2 @6pm at the Community Center to authorize a long-term recovery plan, based on a highly successful model followed in Jack County.  https://gordonwater.myruralwater.com/documents/1758/June_2__2025_-_Called_Meeting.pdf

> There will be a Community Meeting @6pm at the Community Center on Tuesday, June 3 and Mayor Mills will hear public comments and provide a detailed update on recovery efforts.

> The Command Center at the Community Center is scheduled to remain open 10-2 Monday and Tuesday. As we transition to long-term recovery we are planning to close after those dates but we will assess based on needs as they emerge.

> Brush drop at the wastewater treatment plan on Cemetery Road is planned to reopen this week.

> The Republic Dumpsters at the railroad tracks are open to residents for tornado debris disposal.

> Regular bulk pick-up is Wed, June 4. Call City Hall 254-693-5676 by end of day Monday to have address added to list.

We are committed to improving services to survivors through the home stretch and making Gordon even better.

Thank you!
