City Notes May 29

Congratulations to our Gordon ISD Seniors! Graduation is tomorrow night at 7pm at the new gym.

News for today:

• Debris removal NW of Crockett and Cypress (Not Travis and Cypress as I had stated) has started. We will work through the impacted area in the coming weeks and inform in advance.
• Brush drop at the wastewater treatment plant on Cemetery Road remains closed until it dries out.
• There has been a huge amount of behind-the-scenes work to establish case management to help people coordinate response to their specific list of needs. There will be a Community Update from the mayor at 6pm on Tues, June 3. Look here for additional information.
• Loaded nachos at the Command Center at the Community Center 201 Houston at noon.
• We still need Command Center volunteers stop by and sign up. It is not difficult.
• Call City Hall if you are still missing a poly dumpster.
