City Notes May 28

Thank you for subscribing or viewing this page. Some updates:
> At the Community Committee meeting last night we formed a Debris Committee and started setting up the committee that will work on the needs of individuals and households. We appreciate your patience as the people or case management side is something we did not already have in place centrally for the town. It is typical that it has to be set up following a disaster.
> Debris updates:
- Decision was made to start working on the debris piles NW of Travis and Cypress.
- We are working with Republic to get additional roll-off dumpsters for trash as close to the heart of the affected areas as possible.
- Metal scrap is no longer being accepted at the school fieldhouse.
- Brush drop at the wastewater treatment plant is suspended until it dries out.
> Republic is delivering poly dumpsters and doing a bulk pick up today.
> Command Center at the Community Center has spaghetti for lunch.
> Command Center volunteers are needed if you want to swing by and sign up or text Sherrye 682-478-9124
> General clothing and household goods are not needed at this time.
> Donations to the Gordon Tornado Relief fund will be handled by a responsible committee to help with general debris and other common sense assistance to households and the larger community.
Have a good day!
