Command Center Sat, May 24 9am-2pm

The Command Center at the Community Center (201 Houston) will be open 9am-2pm on Saturday, May 24. We will have a place to cool off, restrooms, information collection as well as sandwiches and drinks for impacted households and volunteers.
Our friends at Strawn Baptist Church are bring breakfast burritos!
We are not planning to open on Sunday but do plan to reopen on Monday 9-5 despite the holiday.
We need volunteers available 8:30-5:30 M-F to help with food and drinks, information collection and providing a friendly hello. No specialized skills are required, and we are documenting responsibilities. Reach out me (Sherrye) at 682.478.9124 if you have a few hours available. I promise you will find it rewarding!
Looking further out, we are mobilizing two primary long-term committees:
- Support for people, households and businesses
- Debris management
