Emergency Response Update May 21 pm

There has been such positive feedback around how special this community is - caring and hard-working and genuinely kind and concerned for each other. I know it is just what you do but take a moment to feel proud and blessed.

Some updates:

  • Stephenville 93.1 radio will be having an all-day fundraiser on Thursday, May 21.
  • Meals will continue to be served at Hink’s through tomorrow afternoon.
  • The Community Center will be established as a Command Center from tomorrow. There will be easy to grab food and drinks and a place for volunteers and impacted individuals to cool off. There will be support with iSTAT registration and getting connected to services and support.
  • Brush can continue to be taken to the wastewater treatment plant on Cemetery Road and a second drop site has been established at the softball field property on Dairy Farm Road.
  • No solicitor permits will be issued this weekend. Reminder you may post a “No Soliciting” sign and you may ask to see solicitation permit.
  • There are many companies and individuals looking to help those who are impacted. There are various fundraisers in the works.
