Gordon ISD Appreciation Week

I am so proud to proclaim this Gordon ISD Appreciation Week and invite you to join us in honoring the educators, staff and faculty who have for so many years unlocked the potential of the children of Gordon, including members of 5 generations of my own family,.

Please join us Dowtown on Thursday, Feb. 27th at 6:00 pm for a parade celebrating the 2024 Six-Man  Football State Champion Gordon Longhors, followed by our Longhorn Association's BBQ and Bingo. This acheivement is made so much more special to me personally having seem the humility, faith, and commitment to excellence that the players, coaches, and all those who support them demostrate in thier lives off the field.

Today, Monday Feb 24th at 5:00 pm we will be hanging the flags and cleaning up the downtown for Thursday. If you are looking for something to do outdoors on a beautiful day, grab an old broom and dustpan and join us.

My grandparents would be so proud and amazed to see that even though the cirriculum and facilites are beyond anything they could have imagined, the education my grandchildren receive every day still comes to caring, individualized instruction by those who share our small-town values.
